Craft group crocheting troop caps for soldiers
The Villages Daily Sun: "Craft group crocheting troop caps for soldiers
By JILL SHERMAN, DAILY SUN
THE VILLAGES - Eight pounds of aqua yarn was a great gift, even for a project designed primarily for men.
The Monday night craft group that meets at Laurel Manor Center has been focusing recently on crocheting troop caps for American soldiers serving overseas. The caps cushion soldiers' heads from the harshness of their helmets and had been started with yarn in colors that would suit masculine tastes - blue, red, and earthy browns and greens. After all, it is primarily men who are in the field and, therefore, wearing helmets. "
This is a Blessing!
