This decorative headband is quick and easy to make. A pretty, lacy look is achieved as the chain loop rows stretch when the headband is worn.
Materials Used In This Example
Worsted weight yarn in the following color:
I used Red Heart Super Saver Multicolor "Ocean" Color No. 0995
US size G hook

Crochet this headband with cotton yarn if you plan to use it as a summer headband. Make it with acrylic yarn or a novelty yarn if you plan to use it as a winter headband.

Finished Size: 3 1/2 inches wide x 18 1/2 inches long before sewing end together (this length fits an average size adult female head. You may need to adjust the finished length to fit the size head of the person you are making the headband for)

Gauge - 4 single crochet rows (on edge) = 1 inch and 6 single crochet stitches = 2 inches

Note: Individual gauge is not crucial on this project. The important part is the finished length (to fit the size head of the person you are making this for) and the length can easily be adjusted by making fewer ribbing rows or more ribbing rows.
